PollockPrints Open Studio Showcase

Make plans now for PollockPrints' second annual open studio showcase. Following on the heels of Mike Gordon's Thursday night Variety Show at Chicago's Park West, Pollock will once again be throwing open his doors to host a free art show on Saturday, September 7th from 11am-5pm. The show will highlight Pollock's original artwork for bands such as Phish, Umphrey's McGee, the Disco Biscuits and festivals such as the 10,000 Lakes Music & Arts Festival, Wakarusa & Summercamp. These rare pencil sketches and marker renderings will be for sale for the very first time ever! Pollock is also exhibiting a brand new collector's edition box set of prints being offered exclusively at the show.

Pollock welcomes Ian Millard from Colorado, Fred Hosman of Hosco Press, Bruce Horan of New York and Chicago's Tim Ripley who will also be showcasing their distinct posters and canvas.

The show will also spotlight the photography and short films of Jason Kaczorowski who's documented Pollock creations for nearly the past decade through his cameras. Kaczorowski will have a retrospective of projections and prints in his adjacent studio chronicling Pollock's career.

Other artists showing work in the building include Alan Lerner and Aviva Alter of 4F Design, Starshaped Press, John Berton of Ravenswood Clayworks and Green Lizard Solar.

Live Music by Thomas Cray, food and spirits provided by Burlington Vermont's microbrewers Magic Hat.

The concept behind The Faded Line Clothing Co. is based on love for apparel and appreciation (obsession) of art.

It's quite common for bands to receive more credit for their merchandise designs than the illustrators themselves but times are changing. The Faded Line Clothing Co.'s goal is to further expose these incredible artists to the masses.

Through a unique partnership, The Faded Line Clothing Co. allows participating poster artists such as Pollock, EMEK, Jeff Wood & Todd Slater to retain ownership over their work by licensing each limited edition likeness for The Line.
